Use this page to:

This page can be accessed in two ways.

To access this page in Common:

  1. Click Common > Analyze in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Duplicates icon for a data source.

  3. Click Vertical View for an object.

  4. Click the Dictionaries icon.

To access this page in System Administration, select Admin > Configuration > Search > Dictionaries in the Navigation pane.

Field

Description

DICTIONARY

Displays the name of the dictionary.

Each index column can be assigned a dictionary, which contains words and their synonyms. Dictionaries can be used to resolve abbreviations or to normalize common industry or company-specific abbreviations into strings.

Use dictionaries sparingly. Each word is stored in the index, increasing the index size and slowing search performance.

Click to open the Dictionary Words page to add words and synonyms to the dictionary.
