Download an Excel Spreadsheet

The user can create an Excel spreadsheet based on the current DSP® page via the following methods:

  • Create an empty Excel spreadsheet

  • Create an Excel spreadsheet containing the columns and data on the current DSP® page

Once the download process is complete, data can be entered into the spreadsheet or modified for future uploading into the DSP®.

The contents of the downloaded Excel spreadsheet defaults to those columns in the Horizontal view that are not hidden or disabled via the “Excel” or “All Views” column properties. Refer to the Page Columns page in System Administration help for more information.

NOTE: When columns have column properties of the "All Views” or “Excel” type and are set to "Disabled", those columns are not downloaded via Excel Integration.

NOTE: Columns with the following defined column properties do not apply to Excel and are not downloaded via Excel Integration:

  • Button

  • File

  • HTML Area

  • Image

  • Label

  • tab

  • Toolbar

NOTE: When a column has data disabled via a Data Control View (DCV) and a spreadsheet is downloaded using that existing data, the data is disabled in the spreadsheet as well.

NOTE: When a column has data hidden via a DCV, the data is hidden in the spreadsheet as well.

NOTE: Columns controlled via a DCV should be unaffected during Excel insert.

NOTE: Columns disabled or hidden by a Page Control View (PCV) or User Control View (UCV) are not included in a downloaded spreadsheet.
