Establish User-Specific Security Definitions
User Specific Security Definitions allow the definition of data-based access on a user by user level.
If a user needs special access, for example, to a specific record on a page, that does not fall into a role, and does not warrant the creation of a role, then the User Specific Security Definition can be used to define these individual data points for the user.
To add security definitions to a specific user:
- Select Security > Security Definitions > User Specific Security Definitions in Navigation pane.
- Click Definitions for NAME (i.e., a specific user).
- Click Keys for a SECURITY DEFINITION NAME.
-
Click Add.
- Select a key from SECURITY DEFINITION KEY ID list box.
- Click Save.
