Plan Task Dependency

Use this page to Add a Predecessor Task.

To access this page:

  1. Select Track > Project from the Navigation pane.
  2. Click Plans for a project.
  3. Click Tasks for a plan.
  4. Click Predecessor Tasks for a task.

Field

Description

PREDECESSOR PLAN ID

Displays the name of the plan containing the task that is the predecessor in the dependency relationship.

IS COMPLETED

If enabled, work on the predecessor task has completed.

PREDECESSOR PLAN TASK ID

Displays the name of the task that is the predecessor in the dependency relationship.

DEPENDENCY TYPE ID

Displays the Dependency Type of the dependency relationship. Values are:

  • Start to Finish
  • Start to Start
  • Finish to Start
  • Finish to Finish

SUCCESSOR PLAN ID

Displays the name of the plan containing the task that is the successor in the dependency relationship.

NOTE: View a list of all successor tasks for the selected task on the Project Task Successor Dependency page (Project > Plans > Plan Tasks > Vertical View for a Plan Task > Additional Information tab > Successor Tasks).

SLACK

Displays a number used with the SLACK UOM to determine the amount of time that has to pass before a successor task can start or finish after its predecessor starts or finishes.

SUCCESSOR PLAN TASK ID

Displays the name of the task that is the successor in the dependency relationship.

SLACK UOM

Displays an option used with SLACK to determine the amount of time that has to pass before a successor task can start or finish after its predecessor starts or finishes. Values are Day(s), Hour(s), Minute(s), Month(s), and Week(s).
